OUR PROGRAMS
OUR PROGRAMS
We are currently running a variety of programs. These are as follows:
1.CONSERVATION EDUCATION PROGRAM
We visit schools and give talks, show films, and/or provide books to educate children about conservation and the humane care of animals. In addition we organize ecotours, wildlife events, workshops and, particularly, conservation day events for school children to teach them about about biodiversity and conservation. In doing so, we encourage them to appreciate nature in general, care for the environment and develop a love for animals. We also partner with other organizations to promote, and aid teachers in starting, wildlife clubs, go-green clubs and volunteer programs.
2. PEN-PAL PROGRAM
We connect children with other children from overseas for pen-pal letters. This enables children to talk about their natural resources, culture and education and learn about those of children living in other countries. We have found that they are excited by this opportunity and are very happy to take part in the pen-pal program.
3. SUPPORTING CHILDREN IN NEED OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We identify children in need of financial support and provide these children with educational items, such as books and pens. These items are sent to us by kind donors. If we are able to secure funding from more people we will also sponsor those who need it for their secondary education. As well as helping to support their education we also provide mentoring for these children.
4. SANITARY PADS FOR RURAL GIRLS
We provide sanitary pads to girls living in rural communities who otherwise would not have access to such facilities.
5.VARIOUS OTHER SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY PROJECTS
For example, beekeeping, creating nature trails and planting fruit trees.
